Common sense

Published by bridgette at 2:16 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Whatever happened to common sense. Apparently 90% of the population no longer has any. I say this because every day I see people in the news doing things that are likely to get them hurt or killed and then seem to be surprised when it happens.

I also say this because I watch parents doing and saying things that that don’t seem to make sense. And then are shocked by the results.

Here are some examples: If you jump off a bridge with a parachute, chances are it’s not going to open before you hit the ground.

If you keep your child up until midnight, they’re going to be tired and cranky when you wake them at six a.m.

If you allow your 5 year old to talk back to you, so will your teenager.

If children are not held responsible for their actions, they grow up to be irresponsible adults.

Children DO NOT have manic states, the term is “temper tantrum”

Children are not bi-polar, they have mood swings because they haven’t learned to control themselves. There’s a reason it used to be called the “terrible twos”.

If you don’t show up to work on time, spend most of your time chatting with friends on the phone, and argue with your boss, you’re probably going to get fired.

If you start a war without provocation against a country, chances are neighboring countries are going to start working on nuclear weapons.

If wages are falling, and the cost of living is rising, the economy is NOT doing well.

If you elect a president who has failed at everything he has ever attempted, he’s going to fail at this too.

If you believe Ann Coulter when she says “women are too stupid to be allowed to vote” then you really can’t listen to anything SHE says, can you?
